It’s that time of year when our thoughts are turning to the festive season, so I pulled together a quick gift guide for us sewers to add to our lists. I don’t know about you but my other half never has a clue what to buy me so I practically have to buy my own gifts and say it’s from him!
So why not grab hold of your SO and sit them in front of this blog post with a beverage of their choice and leave them to it…lol. They will thank you for making life easy for them.
I’ve included gifts in a varied price range so that different budgets are catered for.

Now, I’ve always wanted to have some of the fab Merino Wool fabric that’s sold by The Fabric Store Online and so of course, this just had to go on the list. Merino is a most luxurious fibre to wear and feels fab next to your skin. The colour range is wonderful too. There are gift cards available to spend online, which is great as an alternative in case someone isn’t sure what colour to purchase as a gift for their loved one.

I’ve mentioned Clothspot on my blog before (see my makes here and here for instance) and it’s no secret that they are one of my favourite online fabric shops. While browsing their website I recently spotted these Coatigan Kits. What a fab idea for a cosy Winter garment don’t you think? Prices range from £29.95 to £42 depending on the fabric you choose.

Next up are some more great ideas for stocking fillers. Now, correct me if I’m wrong but in order to make the sewing process run smoothly lots of tea or coffee is often needed and wouldn’t it be nice to drink it from a sewing themed mug. Love the selection from Cafe Press and most are under £10. Isn’t this one fab
SEVEN:
Of course, a nice hot drink goes down well when paired with something sweet to eat. I found this fab sewing box themed chocolate gift set…yum! So quirky and not bad at £12.50 *Chocolate sewing kit gift box

You see I finally got the chance to have my wish fulfilled when the lovely people at Dutch Label Shop got in touch and asked if I would like to try out their service. I could use the very user-friendly interface on their website to design my labels just how I wanted. You can choose sizes, fonts colours, label styles, motifs, borders and more. If you want, you can also have bespoke labels made using your own specific blog logo by uploading a file to their website.
I’m super pleased with how mine turned out and can’t wait to start sewing them into my makes.
Please note that I was gifted my labels by Dutch Label Shop, but I was under absolutely no obligation at all to post about them. I’m really pleased though so I just had to share with you. I have to say, it’s such an easy service to use, they ship all over the world and shipping costs are very reasonable too. Why not head across to their website and have a look around.

And finally, to finish off my gift list is an item that isn’t strictly something you buy…rather it’s many ideas of gifts that you could make. I came across a fabulous resource on The Sewing Directory of lots of crafty gift ideas that you could sew for yourself or give as presents.
Well, I hope you enjoyed my gift ideas and perhaps it got you feeling a bit festive? Don’t forget to start leaving hints to loved ones…
Now, will someone pass me a mince pie please…
See you soon!
