A little bit of a different post for you today because I’m coordinating completely with my Instagram feed (where I’ll be posting too) and will be featuring 8 festive party outfits in the run-up to Christmas. There will be items that you’ve seen before but styled in a different way to how they were featured in the original blog posts. These smaller bite-sized posts will hopefully inspire and maybe give you ideas for your own outfit creation.
Festive Party Outfit Look 1
In this outfit, my pants are the only item made by me. The pattern used is my own basic slim pant block that I rubbed off from a RTW pair of pants that fit me quite well and only needed a little bit of refining. There’s a very simple fly front without a zip guard to keep bulk down. There are no pockets and just a narrow simple waistband too. I think the only time these have appeared on my blog is here.
The material for my pants came from Truro Fabrics a couple of years back and is and acetate blended type of brocade with a bit of stretch. I also made a simple wrap skirt from the same length of fabric, which you can read all about here
My sweater is an old favourite bought from Next and my boots are from Dune London. My clutch is from a random high street boutique 🙂
I think this outfit would be great for semi-casual drinks out or a family party and would keep you toasty warm too. I love the mix of neutrals and all of the different textures bring it to life. I hope you like it too.
Stay tuned for the next outfit in a day or so.
See you soon!
